Job SummaryThis position is responsible for providing clerical and administrative support for department operations; approximately 75% health services responsibilities, and 25% counseling/accessibility services responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Clerical/ Reception Duties (45%): Answers telephone and greets visitors, provides information and assistance, refers to appropriate personnel. Schedules appointments for Health Services;
Accessibility Services, and Counseling Services. Collects payments for Health Clinic. Calculates and deposits funds acquired by Health Clinic. Files, updates, and secures sensitive documentation. - Administrative Responsibilities (50%): Creates customized accommodation packages for students as needed. Tracks all intake medical documents for Health Services; assists with documents for Accessibility Services and Counseling Services; reviews Immunization forms and assists with immunization hold data. Develops patient forms for Health Servies. Maintains webpages. Coordinates with testing services and accessibility services for administering student exams, as needed. Orders materials, labs, and office supplies for Health Services, Accessibility Services, and Counseling Services.
Submits building and technology maintenance requests. - Other Duties (5%): Performs related duties as assigned.
- Educational Requirements: Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent.
- Required Experience: Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
- Preferred Qualifications: Current CPR certification.
- Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of school policies, FERPA, and HIPAA.
- Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.
- Skill in prioritizing and organizing work.
- Skill in the use of general office equipment—computer, scanner, fax machine, and copier.
- Skill in oral and written communication.
