Responsibilities- Provide high‑level administrative and financial support under indirect supervision.
- Manage and audit departmental budgets and revenue accounts, overseeing business transactions and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Coordinate complex schedules and calendars for the Senior Vice President and associated staff.
- Arrange travel and accommodations, preparing necessary documentation and itineraries.
- Communicate effectively with constituencies both inside and outside the university, handling a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.
- Review and question expenses to ensure compliance with budgets and financial policies.
- Deliver excellent customer service while interacting professionally with university stakeholders and internal departments.
- Comprehensive understanding of financial management principles, including basic accounting and/or bookkeeping.
- Knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn, university policies, procedures, and procurement processes.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn various enterprise systems such as Workday.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for professional correspondence.
- Problem‑solving skills to address scheduling conflicts and operational issues.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and other office productivity tools to create and manage documents, expense reports, and spreadsheets.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision while managing complex tasks.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and build professional, positive working relationships.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and calendar maintenance.
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
- At least one year of progressively responsible administrative support experience, including basic accounting and/or bookkeeping.
Criminal history and credit check required.
