Job Summary

The Office of the Registrar is seeking a Student Assistant who will work closely with Registrar staff and MGA students, assisting with daily clerical and graduation tasks. The Student Assistant will navigate and abide by MGA institutional policies, report directly to the Macon Campus Assistant Registrar, and will work up to 19 hours a week as a part‑time position.

Responsibilities
  • Scan, file, copy, mail, shred, and retrieve documents as required by the Office of the Registrar staff.
  • Assist students, alumni, and other MGA patrons at the front counter as needed.
  • Maintain acceptable and professional quality phone service and productivity performance.
  • Maintain FERPA compliance.
  • Perform graduation duties assigned by the Graduation Coordinator, including preparation for the graduation ceremony and post‑graduation tasks.
Required Qualifications
  • Current enrollment at MGA in at least 6 credit hours.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5.
  • Maintenance of satisfactory academic progress.
  • Compliance with FERPA and strict confidentiality of information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Priority given to students who have successfully exited Learning Support courses.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite with an aptitude to learn imaging systems.
  • Professional and effective oral and written communication skills that align with excellent customer service.
  • Ability to interact effectively with the population.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
