Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting with new student recruitment and New Student Orientation programs at Middle Georgia State University.

Responsibilities Event management (50%)
  • Prepares and executes orientation programs for new students entering the University.
  • Prepares and executes campus tours/events for prospective students of the University.
Administrative duties (50%)
  • Assist in making calls to new student.
  • Assist with preparing materials for Admissions and Orientation events.
  • Assist Admissions and Recruitment staff with data entry.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be a current enrolled Middle Georgia State University student.
  • Must be enrolled in 6 or more credit hours per semester.
  • Must have a GPA of 2.0 or greater.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be dependable and prompt.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, social media platforms, Canva, etc.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Knowledge of Middle Georgia State University admissions requirements.
  • Knowledge of Middle Georgia State University academic programs, schools and departments and related degree requirements.
  • Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs.
  • Skill in decision making and problem solving.
  • Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
