About the RoleResponsible for ensuring the financial viability of a small critical care hospital. Performs advisory role to the Board and Senior Management on all matters regarding finance and business operations. Is directly responsible for Corporate Finance, reimbursement, budgeting, cash management, accounting and financial reporting, materials management and corporate accounts receivable.
Position has the authority to establish policies and procedures and is accountable for decisions made regarding outcomes, budget, processes, etc. Position shall have budget responsibility that includes development, recommendation, implementation and accountability for final results. Position shall have the authority and responsibility for supervision and management of staff. Number of employees is not as significant as the accountability for results, outcomes and decisions made.
Position typically has reporting responsibilities to a Board of Directors.
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred
5+ years of job-related experience
Responsibilities- Functions as a key member of Senior Executive Staff.
- Advises Board and Senior Management on all financial and regulatory matters.
- Serves as Senior Management liaison to the Board Finance Committee.
- Looks for and suggests ways to continually improve services.
- Follows up on problems so they are not repeated.

- Verbalizes understanding of Corporate Compliance Policy and demonstrates how to report non‑compliance. Verbalizes understanding of EEOC reporting and retaliation. Seeks out and receives appropriate training. Actively participates in investigations.
- Complies with Morgan Medical Center’s Attendance Policy & Procedure.
- Aware of EMTALA Regulations and state regulations, especially patient safety rights. Monitors that regulations are met. Documents to support these regulations.

- Maintains knowledge of all policies and legal regulations subject to departments under his/her leadership to include MMC Policies and Procedures and MMC Corporate Compliance.
- Informs/instructs subordinates regarding these policies and legal requirements on an ongoing basis (non‑compliance to policies or legal regulations may result in disciplinary action or termination of employment).
