Position Summary
We are seeking a creative and compassionate Video Production and Digital Media Intern to assist in creating engaging video profiles of individuals with developmental disabilities. This internship provides hands‑on experience in video production, interviewing, storytelling, and content creation while making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
Responsibilities
- Meet with clients, families, and staff to learn about individual stories and accomplishments.
- Assist in planning, filming, and editing short video profiles.
- Conduct interviews in a respectful, person‑centered manner.
- Capture footage of clients participating in daily activities, work, recreation, and community engagement.
- Edit video content for social media, website, and advocacy purposes.
- Organize and maintain video files and project materials.
- Ensure all content reflects client dignity, choice, and confidentiality requirements.
- Collaborate with staff to identify meaningful stories and project opportunities.
Qualifications
- Current student or recent graduate in Communications, Film, Digital Media, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Human Services, or a related field.
- Experience with video production and editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to interact respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Creative storytelling skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation preferred.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.
Preferred Skills
- Photography and social media content creation.
- Basic graphic design skills.
- Experience working with people with disabilities, volunteer experience, or an interest in human services.
- Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive communication practices.
