Candidates must be certified in, or eligible for certification in Health and Physical Education (P‑12). Bibb County is a Strategic Waiver District. Alternative Certification routes are available to individuals with a degree from an accredited institution.

This position plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for students and creates an environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of individuals to ensure achievement and performance for every child.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

• Participate in professional learning to enhance ability to provide engaging online instruction; participate in required professional learning that leads to virtual teaching endorsement
• Clearly articulate deadlines, schedules, and procedures to students and parents to ensure students complete coursework in a timely manner

• Follows professional practices consistent with school and district policies in working with students, students’ records, parents, and colleagues
• Interacts in a professional manner with students and parents
• Is available to students and parents for conferences according to district policies
• Facilitates home‑school communication by holding conferences, telephoning, and sending written communications
• Maintains confidentiality of students and students’ records
