Job SummaryMiddle Georgia State University is seeking a candidate for the position of tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Biology for the School of Health and Natural Sciences in the Department of Natural Sciences to begin fall 2026. This position involves teaching, scholarship, and service. Teaching responsibilities may include day and/or evening, lower‑level and/or upper‑level biology courses. Travel from Macon campus to another campus (Cochran) may be required.
ResponsibilitiesThis position involves teaching undergraduate courses and scholarship. All faculty are expected to assist in student recruitment, curriculum development, mentoring, and serving on departmental and university committees. Travel among our campuses will be required as needed. Teaching responsibilities may include day and/or evening classes, online and/or hybrid courses.
Required QualificationsPhD degree in Biology or related field with special attention given to evolutionary biology.
