Position Overview
The Resident Director is a supervisory position that serves as a role model and leader for their area. The role requires strong leadership skills, good judgment, energy, commitment, self‑discipline, knowledge of campus resources, and sensitivity to cultural differences.
Responsibilities- Assist the Area Coordinator and supervise the area staff.
- Collaborate with and provide guidance to hall governments.
- Serve as a resource to residents to develop a strong, positive, and respectful community.
- Must be a current full‑time student pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
- Maintain a minimum of 12 credit hours for bachelor’s students or 6 credit hours for master’s students.
- Good standing with Mercer University and the appropriate academic college.
- Good judicial standing with the University and the Office of Housing and Residence Life.
- Live on campus in an assigned apartment.
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 and a semester GPA of at least 2.5 throughout the term of employment.
Pay rate: $474.00 bi‑weekly (stipend)
