Mercer University Office of Global Education is seeking a recently returned study abroad student to serve as the first contact point for Mercer students interested in studying abroad. The role focuses on outreach, programming, event planning, and promotion of study abroad programs.

• Serve as general advising resource support: hold “drop-in” hours and meet with students in one‑on‑one or group settings.
• Provide general information on study abroad programs, application process, scholarships, and funding opportunities.
• Refer students to appropriate staff or faculty for additional information.
• Assist Study Abroad Ambassadors in promoting study abroad through presentations, tabling, and other outreach.
• Assist OGE staff on projects, including coordinating Fall and Spring Study Abroad Fairs, the Ambassador program, and designing and marketing special programs across campus.
• Assist with social media and other marketing initiatives.

• Experience studying abroad, preferably in Mercer‑approved programs.
• Demonstrated passion for study abroad and ability to communicate its value to other students.
• Currently enrolled at Mercer University.
• Willingness to share personal study abroad experiences and provide advice.
• Strong public‑speaking skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to maintain confidential student information.
• Commitment to work the full academic term.

Pay Rate: $10.00 per hour
Scheduled

Hours:

10 hours per week
Standard work hours: 8:30am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday, with occasional evening or weekend work required.
