Graduate Assistant, Campus Life Leadership Development

• Assist with planning and implementation of campus‑wide leadership programs, notably the leadership awards banquet.
• Coordinate student organization management and training; manage new student organizations from first contact to SGA approval and beyond.
• Facilitate the Mercer’s first‑year leadership program, Mercer Leadership Fellows.
• Assist with major Campus Life events including Bear Fair, Be a Good Neighbear, Family Weekend, Homecoming, and Bearstock.
• Assist with budget development, event planning, and student advising.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Beginning first year in the Higher Education Leadership or Business Administration program on the Macon campus.
• Undergraduate experience in campus life, preferably with leadership positions in student organizations.
• Desire to work with Mercer undergraduates to develop leadership skills and knowledge.
• Organized with excellent time management, enthusiasm, creativity, self‑motivation, and flexibility.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with various Mercer constituencies.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Tuition waiver for nine credit hours per semester and a bi‑weekly stipend. Pay rate of $14 per hour. Position is a two‑year agreement with flexibility in summer. Option to live on campus with on‑call rotation with the Office of Housing and Residence Life.

Scheduled hours: 20 per week.

04/20/2026. End date: 05/15/2028.
