Central Georgia Adventist School, (formerly Wimbish Adventist School) a Seventh-day Adventist grades 1–8 school in Macon, GA, is seeking a mission-driven and relational educator to serve as Teaching Principal for our one-teacher school. This position combines classroom instruction with spiritual and administrative leadership in a Christ-centered, multi-grade learning environment.
Macon is a historic and centrally located city in middle Georgia known for its rich musical heritage, beautiful cherry blossoms, Southern hospitality, and strong military community. Often called the “Heart of Georgia,” Macon offers a blend of small-city charm and cultural opportunities, with historic neighborhoods, parks, museums, and a growing downtown district. The area is supported by nearby Robins Air Force Base, which contributes to a vibrant and diverse military presence in the region.
Macon is also home to several colleges and universities and provides convenient access to both Atlanta and Savannah.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for Adventist education, a commitment to academic excellence, and the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, church members, and the community. The Teaching Principal will provide instruction in a multi-grade classroom while overseeing the daily operation and growth of the school.
A classroom teacher assistant will also be employed by the local constituency.
Responsibilities- Provide quality instruction in a multi-grade classroom
- Lead the spiritual, academic, and operational life of the school
- Foster a nurturing, Christ-centered learning environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, church leadership, and the school board
- Support enrollment growth and community engagement
- Maintain classroom management, student records, and curriculum implementation
- Ensure alignment with North American Division curriculum and educational philosophy
- Coordinate school programs, events, and reporting requirements
