Qualifications and

Experience:

• Valid state certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience working with K-12 students in resource and/or self-contained classrooms
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies
• Flexibility and adaptability in working with diverse student populations

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs in both resource and self-contained settings
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, collaborating with parents, general education teachers, and related service providers
• Use data-driven approaches to assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Foster an inclusive, engaging, and supportive classroom environment
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and compliance
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing communication with school staff and families
