Virtual Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicates effectively with all stakeholders in the virtual platform in written and oral form, including electronic media, using positive interpersonal skills.
- Uses a variety of programs and software applications to complete instructional and administrative tasks.
- Participates in professional learning to enhance online instruction, including required professional learning leading to virtual teaching endorsement.
- Clearly articulates deadlines, schedules, and procedures to students and parents to ensure coursework completion.
Teacher Duties and Responsibilities
- Follows professional practices consistent with school and district policies working with students, student records, parents, and colleagues.
- Interacts professionally with students and parents.
- Is available for conferences according to district policies.
- Facilitates home‑school communication through conferences, telephoning, and written communications.
- Maintains confidentiality of student records.
- Works cooperatively with administrators, special support personnel, colleagues, and parents.
- Complies with school, district, and state administrative regulations and Board of Education policies.
- Conducts assigned classes on scheduled times.
- Enforces regulations concerning student conduct and discipline.
- Is punctual.
- Provides adequate information, plans, and materials for substitute teacher.
- Maintains accurate records and files reports promptly.
- Attends faculty meetings and other assigned meetings per school policy.
- Complies with conditions stated in the contract of employment.
- Demonstrates professional practices in teaching.
- Models correct use of language.
- Shows accurate and up‑to‑date knowledge of content.
- Implements designated curriculum.
- Maintains lesson plans as required.
- Assigns reasonable tasks and homework.

Bachelor’s degree in education from an accredited college or university required.

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents related to safety, technology, and educational procedures.
- Ability to prepare and communicate effectively through written reports, lesson plans, and correspondence.
