Job SummaryUnder general supervision, provides instruction to students in Health Core and Nurse Aide courses, including a dual enrollment high school site. Demonstrates effective teaching techniques, appropriate testing and grading procedures, and maintains accurate records, including grade books and required documentation. Utilizes strong oral and written communication skills and current industry practices to support student learning.
Follows the approved course syllabus, maintains program requirements, and participates in all required professional development, including summer training expectations. Collaborates with students, school personnel, and partners to support instructional programs and student success. Evaluates student progress in attaining goals and objectives and completes all reports, records, and inventory requirements in a timely and accurate manner.
This role supports student attainment of industry credentials and readiness for postsecondary education and careers in healthcare.
Essential Job FunctionsEducation and Experience Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Must upload transcripts/certifications which show conferred educational degrees/current certifications and document qualifications in the employment history
- Earned College Diploma in health-related field from an academic institution that is accredited by an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education
- Documented current Georgia LPN or RN license
- Documented current BLS card
- Documented one (1) year paid full-time, in-field work experience in patient care
- Earned associate degree or higher in health-related field from an academic institution that is accredited by an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education.
- Documented clinical experience in a long-term care setting.
- Documented teaching experience in secondary, postsecondary education, or training experience.
Candidates must be certified in, or eligible for certification in assigned teaching field as required by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.
Salary, Terms, and Benefits- 195 day work year.
