Regular – Part‑Time

Part‑time instructor teaching undergraduate courses in aviation science and management, including aircraft systems, crew resource management, flight operations, and FAA Part 141 ground school courses.

• Teach various aviation undergraduate courses in the Department.
• Advise and mentor aviation students on academic and career aspirations.
• Develop course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, tests, and projects.
• Evaluate student achievement and competence.
• Collaborate with faculty and industry advisory committee.
• Demonstrate willingness to learn and use D2L, the online teaching and learning platform.

• Master’s or Doctorate degree. If not earned in aviation, extensive aviation experience plus a graduate degree is required.
• Demonstrated ability to teach a broad array of aviation training courses.
• FAA Certified Flight Instructor rating (CFI) and/or Ground Instructor certificates (AGI, IGI) preferred, though not mandatory as the role does not involve flight instruction.

• Knowledge and competency commonly associated with a doctoral degree in aviation.
• Civilian aviation experience, particularly with FAR Part 121 or 135 operations.
• Industry experience in aviation.
• Teaching experience in aviation.
