The Student Success Center (SSC) is seeking candidates for the position of peer tutor.

• Conduct academic tutoring in various settings: online, face-to-face, one-on-one, and in groups.
• Assist with computer programs and tutorials as needed.
• Participate in tutor certification training as part of the position’s requirements.

• Must be a current enrolled Middle Georgia State University student.
• Must be enrolled in 6 or more semester hours per semester.
• Must have a GPA of 2.0 or greater.
• Strong commitment to public service.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member.
• Applicants for all Student Worker jobs are required to have completed a FAFSA for this academic year.

• Academic tutoring experience is desired, but not essential.
• Current GPA of 3.00 or higher.
• Freshman courses include Elementary Statistics, Anatomy and Physiology, Calculus, Principles of Chemistry, Physics, and French.
• Sophomore and higher classified courses include Organic Chemistry, Intermediate Accounting, Business Statistics, Programming, Spanish, Nursing, World Literature, Biology, and Engineering.
• Tutor additional subjects as needed in which an A or B is listed on a transcript.
