Job Summary

The student will assist the office with tutoring students and any other duties assigned by the office.

Responsibilities
  • Perform clerical or data entry tasks and file important documents accordingly.
  • Assist with tutoring students in math and reading.
  • Assist with sign-in and sign-out procedures.
  • Encourage participation in daily activities.
  • Perform other duties related to the position as assigned by Site Coordinator.
  • Maintain all work areas in a clean and organized manner.
  • Maintain academic workload while handling a work study job opportunity.
  • Be dependable and prompt.
  • Adhere to the code of confidentiality.
  • Be cordial to all students, staff, faculty, and visitors entering the office.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum GPA of 2.0.
  • Enrolled at Middle Georgia State University for at least 6 credit hours.
  • Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Knowledge of child and youth activities such as educational enrichment, health, sport, and recreational activities.
  • Prior job experience in childcare.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Maintain Family Education Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA) confidentiality.
