Middle Georgia State University (MGA), a multi-campus, baccalaureate and graduate degree-granting public institution, is the most affordable public state university in Georgia. In this position, the student tutor will have the opportunity to assist other students in developing a deeper understanding of a foreign language. During assigned times, tutor will assist other students in developing good study practices to maintain/improve their grade in lower to mid-level language courses taught at Middle Georgia State University. Tutors set and adhere to their schedule within the allotted number of hours provided.

Maximum work hours per week is 19.

• Student will maintain consistent schedule of availability for tutoring hours; location is both on the Macon campus, and through TEAMS scheduling.
• Maintain all work areas in a clean and organized manner.
• Maintain academic work load while handling job opportunity.
• Must be dependable and prompt.
• Must adhere to the code of confidentiality.
• Be cordial to all students, staff, faculty and visitors entering the tutoring area.

• Minimum GPA of 2.5
• Current enrolled student at Middle Georgia State University for at least 6 credit hours
• Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.

• Position dependent on approval from assigned language professor (Spanish, Korean, French); student must be either a native speaker or in an advanced relevant language course.
• A student worker must have knowledge of computers and different software programs.
• Student is required to retain Family Education Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA) confidentiality.
