Job Summary

Middle Georgia State University invites applications for a part-time instructor of sequential art to join our growing and student-centered art program for the spring 2027 semester. The successful candidate will teach ARTS 3475 Sequential Art I during the spring 2027 semester and potentially ARTS 4475 Sequential Art II in the future to support the B.A. in Applied Art & Design. ARTS 3475 Experience delivering online art instruction is required.

Responsibilities
  • Providing quality instruction in sequential art courses
  • Collaborating with art faculty to promote its programs
  • Advising students interested in pursuing sequential art as a career
Required Qualifications

Required Educational Qualifications

Master's degree in art or related field

Required Experience

Experience teaching college courses
Professional experience in sequential art

Other Required Qualifications

Ability to teach sequential art online
Strong communication and collaborative skills

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications

MFA in studio art

Preferred Experience

Experience with juried exhibitions or equivalent scholarship

Other Preferred Qualifications
