** Mercer University is searching for an Assistant Director of Career Development and Employer Engagement for the School of Business on the Macon, GA campus.
** Responsibilities**:
The Assistant Director of Career Development and Employer Engagement provides direct career development services and coordinates career readiness, employer engagement, internship, and professional development initiatives within the School of Business. Reporting to the Director of Career Development and Employer Engagement, the Assistant Director serves as a primary provider of career coaching and professional development services for undergraduate and graduate business students.
The Assistant Director supports employer relationships, coordinates career readiness programming, assists with internship and experiential learning initiatives, and helps students prepare for successful careers through individualized coaching, professional development, and connections with employers and alumni. Working collaboratively with faculty, admissions, academic advising, alumni, corporate partners, and university career services, the Assistant Director helps connect students with meaningful career experiences and employment opportunities.
The Assistant Director supports the School's efforts to strengthen student career readiness, internship participation, employment outcomes, and employer engagement while contributing to assessment, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Assistant Director of Career Development and Employer Engagement provides strategic leadership for all career development, employer relations, and experiential learning initiatives within the Stetson-Hatcher School of Business. This position is responsible for advancing a unified, cross-campus career development model aligned with the School’s mission to equip students with exceptional education, leadership skills, and relevant real-world business experiences that deliver value from the first day of employment onward.

* Required Qualifications:
** A master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Counseling, Human Resources, Business Administration, Leadership, Education, or a related field and two years of progressively responsible experience in career services, higher education, student affairs, workforce development, recruiting, human resources, or a related field are required. In lieu of a master's degree, a bachelor's degree and four years of the same experience will be considered.

* Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop effective partnerships and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

** Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
*** Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365; proficiency with virtual collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
* Must have knowledge of the job market for all business disciplines and related job search resources such as Handshake, research skills, both internet and otherwise, in the areas of career development and job searches that are required to assist student and alumni with their job search/networking.
* Excellent organizational and both written and verbal communication skills are essential.
* Excellent interpersonal skills for working with students, alumni, employers, and representatives from other business schools.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines.
* Ability to analyze data and use assessment results to improve programs and services.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
* Willingness and ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends.
