Job SummaryAs an Engineering Technician I, you will assist in the production of construction drawings and create drafting and three‑dimensional models of marked‑up plans, sections, details, and notes produced by senior project staff.

General Responsibilities- Perform all aspects of modeling and/or drafting on projects or portions of projects as directed by the design manager or project engineer, including single‑discipline or multi‑discipline building‑type structures for new and existing construction.
- Work with engineers to resolve conflicts in building elements and integrate other discipline work discovered during modeling or drafting.
- Adhere to company and department standards for CAD and BIM projects.
- Communicate and coordinate with technicians and professionals from other disciplines during model, plan, section, and detail development; share outcomes with engineers or designers.
- Comply with quality control policies and procedures.
- Assist Engineers and Interns with assigned tasks.
- Draft marked‑up plans, partial plans, sections, details, and notes provided by the Engineer.
- Complete sections and details to a schematic‑level of completion as directed by the Engineer.
- Develop accurate, three‑dimensional models with the required BIM software package.
- Coordinate with technicians and professionals from other disciplines within the design team.
- Participate in multi‑discipline BIM coordination efforts.
- Adhere to task budget and schedule constraints.
- Effectively and professionally communicate orally and in writing.
- Maintain a can‑do attitude and desire to provide outstanding professional service.
- Follow instructions of senior teammates and contribute to team success.
- Demonstrate dedication to professional development and to the success of colleagues and the firm.
- Work well in a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with coursework in AutoCAD, REVIT, and/or BIM software (Navisworks) from a technical or vocational school; or
- Associate’s Degree related to drafting and design; or
- Certificate in building drafting and design; or
- Certificate of Management for Building Information Modeling (CM‑BIM); or
- Applicable Autodesk certifications.
- Active membership in drafting or modeling‑related organizations (local or web‑based).
- 1–4 years of experience with AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit.
We prioritize a healthy work/life balance and offer a flexible hybrid working schedule. Selected candidates will work in a JMT office location at least three days per week or as needed to perform assigned duties. While most work is desk‑based, there may be times when standing, walking, bending, and lifting minimal weight are required. The office environment is comfortable, well‑lit, and free from noise, dust, and other hazards.
