Our client headquartered in Hart County, Georgia
, is seeking a Solid Works Design Engineer. This position will report directly to the VP of Engineering and is pivotal in creating, reviewing, and updating production drawings using Solid Works CAD tools and PDM.
The applicant must possess a deep understanding of CAD principles, PDM workflows (Admin a +) and documentation ownership. Excellent experience in Solid Works best-practices, drawing creation and configuration, using Solid Works design-tables and developing CAD libraries in PDM. This role will include associated tasks in production drawings, reverse engineering, possible technical publication and manual writing responsibilities.

Responsibilities- Creation of precise Solid Works 3D & 2D Drawing data for manufactured products.
- Drive efficiencies in Solid Works CAD configurations, design-table automation, CAD libraries and documentation processes.
- Work with leadership, project managers and technical teams to deliver high-quality deliverables.
- Deliver and present documentation and designs as required, capture requirements and use cases as required.
- Associates or Bachelors Degree, in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution preferred.
- Experience designing with Sheet metal / Weldments for hollow-steel part fabrication and production.
- Demonstrated expert experience with Solid Works CAD for production.
- Experience with Solid Works PDM, as administrator, or as end-user.
- Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills, able to identify problems, and think creatively to solve challenges.
- Experience with Engineering Change Orders (ECO), and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Ability to multi-task and communicate in a fast paced, technical environment with high adaptability and flexibility.
- Experience guiding and helping to train design teams in process and best practices.
- Certified Solid Works Associate / Professional in Mechanical Design (CSWA/CSWP).
- Onsite role in Hart County, Georgia.
