SENIOR PROJECT GEOLOGIST / SENIOR PROJECT ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST
Broadbent & Associates, Inc. of Macon, Georgia is hiring a full‑time Project II or Senior Project Geologist / Environmental Scientist to oversee complex environmental projects in Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, and Florida.

Responsibilities- Prepare and review work plans, technical documents, and reports for federal, state, and local agencies
- Prepare and review new client proposals for federal, state, and private industry
- Develop the scope of environmental assessment and remediation projects and manage budgets
- Conduct regular field visits to drive project execution and ensure appropriate technical and health and safety procedures are being followed
- Review and approve vendor work proposals and invoices
- Write project reports, analyze and interpret data, and prepare final reports for senior and client review
- Perform business development activities
- Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrogeology, earth, or environmental science
- Professional Geologist (PG) certification (preferred)
- Five or more years of experience in geological assessments, water supply, water treatment, environmental assessments, contaminant investigation, contaminant remediation, storm water management, wastewater treatment, permitting projects, or compliance projects in the public and private sectors
- Consulting experience
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations and experience interacting with governmental regulatory agencies
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting deliverable timelines
- Ability to travel within the eastern regional U.S.
- Strong work ethic and knowledge of the consulting business
- Commitment to safety and staff development
- Ability to manage personnel and administrative functions effectively
- Advanced technical capabilities in the relevant field of expertise
- Motivated self‑starter capable of periodic field work
- Strong problem solving, research, and communication skills
- Ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards at site operations
- Willingness to conduct business development activities
- Technical writing competency and computer literacy
- In‑depth experience with cost projections, budget preparation, and tracking
- Works well individually and as part of a team
This full‑time project management position works Monday–Friday with some traveling, overnight, and weekend work. The role may involve two‑ or three‑week projects for emergency response (voluntary).
