Arclin USA is currently looking to fill a Product Development Chemist II Job at our Macon, GA location.
Reporting to the R&T Director, This position is responsible for designing and executing new product development tasks associated with the development of innovative chemistry based products (resins) and solutions which support Arclin's product development strategy. This position operates within the parameters of Arclin's policies and procedures and will provide product expertise to R&T, Sales, Manufacturing, and Marketing groups.
Product Development Chemist II Job Requirements:
- Plan and execute projects to develop quality resin products and existing product production optimization for Arclin customers. This includes: conducting lab experiments, syntheses, routine testing and production troubleshooting
- Provide technical support to the application group, production and sales in compliance with ISO standards. Participate in product design and customer meetings as required
- Maintain accurate and complete records of work results and activities;
Provide technical support to HSE group on product MSDS and the Supply Chain group for raw material sourcing - Maintain a clean and safe lab environment in compliance with Arclin HSE policies and procedures. Ensure that all lab equipment is maintained and operating optimally
- Bachelors of Science in Chemistry (BSc)
- 3-5 years' experience within an industrial chemical laboratory environment; MS degree will substitute for two years of experience
- Knowledge of the chemistry of formaldehyde based phenolic and amino resins an asset.
- Basic understanding of the engineering processes used in resin production.
- Knowledge of experimental design, laboratory equipment and project planning skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to document and write technical reports.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proficiency in the use of computer software (MS Office, etc.)
