We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, develop, test, and support electrical systems and components for industrial and manufacturing applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical designs meet customer requirements, industry standards, and production objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop electrical systems, control panels, wiring harnesses, and electrical schematics.
- Create and modify electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical
, EPLAN
, or similar CAD tools. - Develop electrical layouts, panel designs, and cable routing.
- Select electrical components including PLCs, sensors, relays, circuit breakers, motors, transformers, and power supplies.
- Perform electrical calculations, load analysis, voltage drop calculations, and power distribution studies.
- Support product development, prototyping, testing, and validation activities.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and resolve manufacturing and field issues.
- Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, UL, IEC, IEEE, and customer specifications.
- Prepare technical documentation including BOMs, wiring diagrams, test procedures, and engineering change orders (ECOs).
- Support production, installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3-10+ years of experience in electrical engineering within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical
, EPLAN
, Solid Works Electrical
, or similar tools. - Experience with electrical schematics, panel design, and wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, motors, and industrial control systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with Creo
, Solid Works
, or other CAD software. - Knowledge of power distribution, automation, and control systems.
- Familiarity with DFMEA, PFMEA, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis.
- Experience with ERP/PLM systems such as SAP, Windchill, or Teamcenter.
- Understanding of electrical safety standards and regulatory compliance.
