OSP I

Palmetto Engineering & Consulting is seeking an OSP I to support design and field activities for utility and telecommunications projects. In this role, you will assist with outside plant (OSP) mapping, site walks, data collection, and preparation of construction drawings and documentation. Working closely with engineers and senior designers, you'll help develop practical, cost-effective designs that meet client, safety, and regulatory requirements while learning industry standards and tools in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Support outside plant (OSP) design for utility and telecom projects
• Perform field walks and collect site data and measurements
• Prepare and update CAD/GIS drawings, maps, and construction packages
• Document existing infrastructure and proposed routes accurately
• Assist engineers with calculations, design standards, and permitting
• Coordinate with field, construction, and project management teams
• Ensure designs comply with safety, code, and client requirements
• Maintain organized project files, records, and as-built documentation
