Summary:

The Senior Manager, CADD Designer / PLM Integrator plays a vital role in shaping this innovation journey by elevating how we approach product design, 3D modeling, and digital governance throughout the equipment lifecycle.

What Youll Do for Us
  • Develop and steward CAD standards, templates, and best practices that ensure efficiency, accuracy, and global consistency across equipment platforms.
  • Lead complex 3D modeling initiatives for new product introductions (NPI), including the creation of high-fidelity models and fully detailed technical drawings for manufacturing readiness.
  • Partner with Core Engineering, Innovation & Design, and external suppliers (OEM/JDM) to align design intent with PLM governance principles, enabling streamlined product data management.
  • Oversee the internal 3D Printing Lab capability, leveraging rapid prototyping to validate parts, support early design reviews, and accelerate innovation cycles.
  • Govern CAD-to-PLM data flows and template compliance standards to maintain revision control and enable accurate product lifecycle information across systems.
  • Validate equipment component fit, configuration, and performance with rigorous tolerance analysis to mitigate risk during scale-up and commercialization.
  • Maintain model libraries and revision-controlled assets for modular platform designs, driving consistency across global operating units and equipment configurations.
  • Execute design-for-manufacturing deliverables that optimize production, reduce rework, and meet quality standards during early stages of NPI.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to embed data governance, modularity principles, and manufacturing considerations into the design process to enhance speed-to-market outcomes.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering , Industrial Design, or a related technical field; advanced degree or professional certification in CAD/PLM technologies preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in 3D CAD design, PLM data governance, and equipment or product design within a global manufacturing or technology environment.
  • Strong expertise in 3D modeling software (e.g., Creo, Solid Works) and advanced proficiency in creating detailed, revision-controlled technical documentation.
  • Proven ability to define and implement CAD standards, best practices, and model libraries to support modular and scalable equipment architecture.
  • Experience with PLM integration, data flow governance, and supporting transitions to SaaS-based PLM platforms in highly matrixed organizations.
  • Familiarity with design-for-manufacturing principles, rapid prototyping, tolerance analysis, and modular design strategies.
  • Skilled in bridging engineering design intent with enterprise-level data governance practices to ensure product integrity throughout the lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated capability in digital fluency, advanced data management, and familiarity with AI-enabled tools for design validation or compliance tracking.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams and global suppliers to deliver consistent solutions aligned with organizational quality and innovation goals.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills to translate complex technical data into actionable workflows for engineering and manufacturing stakeholders.
