The Relationship Banker is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Macon, GA. In this position, you will build and maintain relationships with clients by understanding their financial needs and recommending appropriate banking products and services. You will assist clients with everyday banking transactions, open and service deposit accounts, and support lending and credit card needs within established guidelines. The role includes proactively reaching out to clients, identifying opportunities for cross‑selling and referrals, and helping clients use digital banking tools.
You will also ensure compliance with bank policies and regulations, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with teammates to deliver a consistent, client-centered branch experience.
- Client service and relationship skills, including active listening, empathy, and a consultative approach to understanding financial needs.
- Sales and business development capabilities, such as identifying cross‑sell opportunities, meeting branch goals, and generating quality referrals.
- Cash handling, operational accuracy, and attention to detail to process transactions securely and efficiently.
- Comfort with banking technology, including digital and mobile banking tools, CRM systems, and standard office software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain financial products in a clear and accessible way.
- Ability to work in a branch environment, collaborate with a diverse team, and adapt to changing client and business needs.
- Prior experience in retail banking, financial services, or customer‑facing roles is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, finance, or a related field is a plus.
