t is responsible for performing work related to the collection, collation, analysis, and dissemination of criminal intelligence and criminal data to be utilized by the Sheriff's Office. The essential duties and responsibilities of this position fall within criminal intelligence analysis. Criminal intelligence analysis involves gathering information from multiple sources, evaluating it, verifying its accuracy, and transforming it into viable intelligence to assist law enforcement in preventing crimes, making arrests, and gathering essential evidence for prosecution.

• Possession of a valid Georgia Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
• Must be fingerprinted, pass a polygraph test, and pass a background investigation.

The Intelligence Analyst must be knowledgeable of the following principles, procedures, and concepts:

• Skill in using word processing, spreadsheets, and database software programs.
• Skill in using computers, communications equipment, and standard office equipment.
• Ability to work harmoniously with County officials, County employees, other government employees, and the general public.
• Ability to effectively train others.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to organize work and establish tracking procedures.
• Ability to identify and develop intelligence.
