Requirements Must have
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associates degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Previous experience in healthcare, insurance, medical billing, or patient services preferred
- Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME services is preferred
- Level I:
One year of work-related experience required - Level II:
One year of work-related experience plus two years of exact job experience required - Lead Level: One year of work-related experience plus four years of exact job experience required
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance processes preferred
- Strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality required
- Ability to sit for long durations and perform physical tasks such as bending, stretching, and lifting 5-10 pounds as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering phone calls and ensuring patient needs are met efficiently
- Handle various call types including tank requests, ETA inquiries, pick-up requests, location assistance, order status, and pricing questions
- Document call interactions according to standard operating procedures
- Respond to inquiries about products, services, and general company information
- Verify insurance carriers within the database
- Resolve customer complaints using effective problem-solving techniques
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current products and services
- Comply with HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
- Process payments, orders, and returns in Level 2
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide advanced care solutions in Level 2
- Mentor and train Level 1 representatives in advanced topics as a Lead Representative
- Prepare reports for leadership and assist with departmental standards and initiatives as a Lead Representative
