Requirements Must have

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associates degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Previous experience in healthcare, insurance, medical billing, or patient services preferred
  • Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME services is preferred
  • Level I:
    One year of work-related experience required
  • Level II:
    One year of work-related experience plus two years of exact job experience required
  • Lead Level: One year of work-related experience plus four years of exact job experience required
  • Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance processes preferred
  • Strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality required
  • Ability to sit for long durations and perform physical tasks such as bending, stretching, and lifting 5-10 pounds as needed
Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering phone calls and ensuring patient needs are met efficiently
  • Handle various call types including tank requests, ETA inquiries, pick-up requests, location assistance, order status, and pricing questions
  • Document call interactions according to standard operating procedures
  • Respond to inquiries about products, services, and general company information
  • Verify insurance carriers within the database
  • Resolve customer complaints using effective problem-solving techniques
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current products and services
  • Comply with HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
  • Process payments, orders, and returns in Level 2
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide advanced care solutions in Level 2
  • Mentor and train Level 1 representatives in advanced topics as a Lead Representative
  • Prepare reports for leadership and assist with departmental standards and initiatives as a Lead Representative
