As a Home Care Scheduler, here's a big-picture view of what you'll do:
  • Create and manage caregiver schedules to ensure full shift coverage
  • Quickly fill open shifts due to call-offs, new cases, or schedule changes
  • Match caregivers to clients based on skills, availability, and compatibility
  • Communicate schedule updates clearly and professionally with caregivers and clients
  • Monitor attendance, late arrivals, and reliability trends
  • Maintain accurate documentation in scheduling and EVV systems
  • Collaborate with recruiting and clinical teams to anticipate staffing needs
  • Provide on-call scheduling support as assigned
A few must-haves for the Home Care Scheduler:
  • High school diploma required;
    Associate’s degree preferred
  • At least one (1) year of scheduling, staffing, or home care experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and phone communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
