Overview
Supports the mission of the organization as a member of the multidisciplinary team in the provision of the highest quality healthcare to include individualized patient and family-centered, holistic and supportive care in a safe and caring environment. This position provides patient care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care and interaction to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment with assistance from other healthcare members.
This person functions as a member of the therapeutic team as designed by the policies and procedures of Piedmont Behavioral Health.
Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse for a designated group of patients; contribute to a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient- and family-centered care; engage in therapeutic interaction with patients and participate in the nursing process within the care environment as defined by Piedmont Behavioral Health policies and procedures.
Qualifications Education- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
- Bachelors Degree in behavioral health sciences Preferred
- Vocational or Technical Degree such as Emergency Medical Technician Preferred
- Associates Degree Preferred
- No experience required
- Experience in Behavioral health and/or addictive disease Preferred
- 1 year in a mental health or acute care setting Preferred
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
- Crisis Prevention within 60 Days Required
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification Required
- CPI certification within the first 90 days of employment Required
