Correct Health currently has an exciting opportunity to join our growing team as an Emergency Medical Technician ( EMT) in Macon, GA!

Currently, Correct Health provides high quality, cost-effective, comprehensive healthcare services inside the walls of more than 40 correctional facilities throughout Georgia and Louisiana,

• Assist in providing health care to inmates.
• Assist in performing intake physical examinations to all newly incarcerated inmates.
• Assist in the passing of medications to inmates.
• Assist in responding to medical emergencies.
• Advise appropriate personnel on any inmates that need to be classified as a medical risk.
• Comply with Medical Department directives pertaining to blood borne and airborne pathogens and the disposal of contaminated materials and supplies.
• Practice proper medical record keeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required License or Certification: EMT

Current certification to practice as a EMT in the state of employment. American Heart Association BLS. American Heart Association ACLS. Knowledge and ability to perform emergency care within scope of practice.
