ResponsibilitiesFunctions under the direct supervision of the occupational therapist responsible for a specific patient0s care. The certified occupational therapist assistant assumes responsibility and accountability for providing occupational therapy modalities and treatment procedures as determined by a treatment plan established by an occupational therapist. Responsible for the care of patients treated by rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers. Responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.
QualificationsEducation
- Associates Degree from an approved Occupational Therapist Assistant Program Required
- No experience required Required
- COTA
- Occupational Therapy Assistant Certified Current licensure in the State of Georgia or current compact privileges in Georgia Upon Hire Required and - BCLS
- Basic Life Support BLS certification through AHA Upon Hire Required
