Health Service Technician – Billingslea Location Company Overview:River Edge Behavioral Health is recognized for its state-of-the-art treatment and support services for more than 13,000 children, youth, families, and adults annually who experience mental illness, addiction, co-occurring disorders, and substance abuse problems. In addition, River Edge offers services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Position Overview:Billingslea Recovery Residence is a long-term residential facility dedicated to providing a supportive, alcohol- and drug-free environment for adult males in recovery. Our program supports individuals ages 21–65 with substance abuse issues, offering structured care in a community setting. The average length of stay ranges from six to twelve months, enhancing existing detoxification and treatment services.
We are seeking compassionate and dependable Residential Support Staff to assist in daily client care, wellness support, and facility operations. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for helping others and an interest in recovery-focused work.
Location/Schedule:
1243 First Avenue, Macon, GA – Monday-Friday 12 midnight-8:00am sometimes weekend and some holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene as needed
- Prepare clients for treatment or examinations
- Transport/accompany clients within the facility, using a wheelchair when necessary
- High school diploma or GED required
- Basic knowledge of nursing care, first aid, and hygiene practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must have a clean driver’s history.
