We are conducting a confidential search for an accomplished Director of Food & Beverage to lead a highly complex, luxury resort food and beverage operation with significant annual revenue and multiple business segments.
This is a unique opportunity for a hands‑on, highly visible leader who thrives in fast‑paced environments and enjoys the challenge of overseeing a dynamic operation with many moving parts. The business is highly seasonal, requiring an executive who can pivot quickly, balance competing priorities, and maintain exceptional service standards during peak periods.
The ideal candidate is not someone who prefers to lead from an office. We are seeking a hospitality professional who loves being on the floor, engaging with guests and team members, and creating memorable experiences. This role requires creativity, operational agility, and a genuine passion for hospitality.
Responsibilities- Provide strategic and operational leadership for all food and beverage operations across the resort.
- Lead and develop a large, diverse team while fostering a culture of service excellence, accountability, and collaboration.
- Maintain a strong presence throughout the operation, ensuring an exceptional guest experience and consistent execution of standards.
- Partner closely with operational and culinary leadership to drive innovation and elevate the overall guest experience.
- Successfully navigate the complexities of a highly seasonal business, including staffing challenges and fluctuating business demands.
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, improve performance, and deliver strong financial results.
- Lead with creativity and an entrepreneurial mindset, continually seeking new ways to enhance the operation and guest experience.
- Significant food and beverage leadership experience within luxury resorts or independent hotel environments.
- Proven success overseeing large‑scale, multifaceted food and beverage operations.
- Strong operational and financial acumen with the ability to balance strategy and execution.
- A highly visible, hands‑on leadership style and a passion for guest engagement.
- Experience managing complex operations with numerous moving parts and changing priorities.
- Demonstrated success developing teams and leading through staffing challenges.
- Experience operating within seasonal destinations is highly preferred.
- Independent luxury hotel experience strongly preferred.
