Connection Services is seeking a Network Engineer to join our Technical Staffing Division for a contract to hire opportunity onsite in Brunswick, GA
. This is a contract to hire opportunity with benefits.

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to support and enhance a complex, home-grown network environment. This role requires deep hands‑on experience with Extreme Networks technologies and strong core networking fundamentals. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in a custom, non‑standardized infrastructure and collaborating closely with internal teams to maintain, secure, and optimize the network.

• Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure with a strong emphasis on Extreme Networks switching and routing.
• Troubleshoot complex Layer 2/Layer 3 network issues in a home‑grown network environment.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize network performance, availability, and scalability.
• Implement and support network security solutions, including Palo Alto firewalls.
• Participate in network upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management initiatives.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, standards, and best practices.
• Work cross‑functionally with security, systems, and application teams to support business requirements.

• Hands‑on experience with Extreme Networks (this is a must‑have).
• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking fundamentals (routing, switching, VLANs, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
• Experience supporting custom or home‑grown network environments.
• CCNA or Arista certification (active or previously held).
• Experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls (configuration, troubleshooting, or operations).

• Palo Alto certification (PCNSA, PCNSE, or similar).
• Experience integrating Extreme Networks with security platforms.
• Exposure to multi‑vendor network environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

• Hands‑on, technical role requiring independent problem‑solving.
