Project DescriptionThe project is focused on implementing native analytical dashboards within a cloud-based SaaS platform. This includes building scalable and cost-efficient data pipelines, transforming raw transactional data into formats optimized for analytics, and leveraging cutting-edge AWS technologies such as Athena, Glue, and S3 tables.

- Design and implement in-app analytics and KPI dashboards within a cloud-native SaaS architecture
- Build and optimize data pipelines to curate data from Oracle/Postgre
SQL sources into S3 using AWS DMS and Glue - Develop Parquet/Iceberg-based analytical datasets for querying via Athena
- Optimize queries, catalog structure, and data partitions for performance and cost-effectiveness
- Build secure, intermediate data layers to support external reporting and customer-facing dashboards
- Support frontend engineers by integrating data via App Sync and asynchronous query models
- Conduct architectural reviews and improve the performance of existing analytical queries
Document data flows, catalog schema, and operational procedures to support the transition during architect leave - Mentor and support upskilling of internal team members working on the analytics stack
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data analytics
- Strong hands‑on experience with AWS Athena, Glue, and S3 in production environments
- Proven knowledge of data lake architectures and AWS DMS
- Experience working with Parquet and/or Apache Iceberg file formats
- Proficiency in designing and maintaining efficient catalog structures for analytics
- Strong SQL skills, especially in Postgre
SQL; familiarity with Oracle-to-Postgres migration - Solid understanding of ETL/ELT workflows, data transformation, and performance optimization
- Experience working with frontend teams and exposing data to reporting interfaces
- English level: B1+ (spoken and written)
- Experience integrating data with React / App Sync dashboards
- Familiarity with Apache Iceberg and best practices for large datasets
- Background working with ERP systems or financial data pipelines
- Understanding of usage‑based cloud cost optimization strategies
