Audio Visual Student Technician
Assist the University Audio‑Visual Department with AV setups and classroom technology support. The role requires a team‑oriented individual with flexible availability during Monday to Friday, 8a.m. – 5p.m., and occasional evening or weekend hours to cover events.
Responsibilities- Set up and configure speaker systems, projection equipment, and connect devices to projectors or televisions.
- Load PowerPoint or other media content onto room computers and ensure proper display on projectors or TVs.
- Support video‑conference calls using Cisco, Webex, Zoom, and other applications.
- Assist with minor maintenance and troubleshooting of AV equipment during events.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to meet event AV requirements.
- No prior experience required; comprehensive on‑the‑job training will be provided.
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to work flexible hours, including brief evening or weekend sessions.
- Basic technical aptitude with computers and audio‑visual equipment.
Scheduled hours: 22 hours per week.
Pay rate: $10.00 to $11.00 per hour plus overtime for after‑hours and weekend events.
