Pay Rate: $10.00 / hour
Shift Availability:
Hours fall between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Monday–Thursday) and 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Friday). We build your work schedule around your class schedule.
We are seeking enthusiastic, tech‑minded Lab Assistants to join our Academic Technology Services team. In this role, you will help manage a dynamic, flexible multimedia environment, supporting faculty, staff, and students as they utilize lab workstations and display docking setups. If you love solving tech puzzles, helping others, and learning modern digital skills, this position offers hands‑on experience at the intersection of technology and education.
Key Responsibilities- Patron & Hardware Support:
Greet lab visitors, assist users with basic hardware/software issues. - Communication & Customer Service:
Provide friendly, professional, and clear assistance to patrons with varying levels of technical expertise. - Lab Operations:
Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming environment; manage opening/closing checklists; and independently complete required assignments in Canvas.
- Work‑Study Eligibility Required (Applications without work‑study approval cannot be considered).
- Strong dependability, punctuality, and ability to work independently.
- Solid foundational computer skills and a willingness to learn multi-platform troubleshooting (macOS, Windows, iOS, docking systems).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An eye for detail and an enthusiasm for educational technology.
