Job Description

The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their full-time Workforce Data Analytics Specialist position in the Office of Workforce Development. This position will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting workforce and apprenticeship data to support program performance, compliance, and decision-making. This role focuses on transforming complex workforce datasets into meaningful insights and high-quality reports for leadership, partners, and federal reporting requirements.

This position is located at the TCSG System Office in Atlanta at 1800 Century Place, Atlanta, GA 30345.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collect, clean, manage, and analyze workforce and apprenticeship program data to support reporting and performance monitoring.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, outcomes, and insights related to program performance and workforce development initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data summaries using Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
  • Interpret and present data findings in a clear and actionable format for leadership, program staff, and external partners.
  • Support development of data visualizations and reporting products using tools such as Excel, Tableau, ArcGIS, Stata, or similar platforms.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across multiple workforce systems and reporting sources.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support data collection, validation, and reporting processes.
  • Assist in preparing federal and state required reports related to workforce programs, including apprenticeship and WIOA initiatives.
  • Participate in meetings with leadership and data stakeholders to present findings, provide updates, and support decision-making.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 2+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or a related field OR Equivalent combination of education and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) and U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Programs.
  • Knowledge of state and federal workforce data sources, particularly those published by the Georgia Department of Labor, U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, and U.S. Census Bureau.
  • Experience with statistical or data visualization software, such as Excel, Tableau, ArcGIS, or Stata.
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting large datasets to identify trends and insights.
  • Experience managing work with multiple deadlines, stakeholders, and competing priorities.
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to summarize data findings clearly and concisely.
  • Strong data management and analytical skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Strong and confident verbal communication skills, including experience presenting or facilitating discussions with leadership and technical stakeholders.
Additional Eligibility and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED and six (6) years experience across IT functions. Computer reporting, statistics or finance experience is required OR Associates degree and four (4) years experience across IT functions.
