Paralegal

Description We are looking for a skilled Paralegal to join our legal team in Macon, Georgia. This role involves providing critical support for litigation cases, ensuring the smooth management of legal documents, and assisting attorneys in trial preparation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation and be proficient in case management software.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct detailed discovery processes, including gathering and organizing evidence and documents.

- Assist in civil litigation procedures by preparing legal documents and filings.

- Support attorneys in trial preparation by organizing case files and summarizing key points.

- Maintain and update case management systems to ensure accurate and efficient tracking.

- Research relevant laws, precedents, and case details to strengthen legal arguments.

- Communicate effectively with clients and other parties involved in legal matters.

- Manage deadlines and schedules for legal filings and court appearances.

- Organize and maintain physical and electronic filing systems for legal documents.

- Prepare summaries, reports, and correspondence related to ongoing litigation cases.

- Collaborate with attorneys to ensure all aspects of the case are handled efficiently. Requirements - Proven experience working as a Paralegal in civil litigation.

- Proficiency in using case management software to track and manage legal documents.

- Strong understanding of discovery processes and trial preparation.

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Ability to research legal information and summarize findings.

- Familiarity with filing systems and electronic document management.

- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
