Overview
VTS Stock Clerks (SC) perform tasks to operate WR-ALC Issue Centers, replenish Point of Use lockers and cabinets, and service/inspect Bulk HM/Gases issue points. Assignments may be full-time and/or part-time to support a 2-shift operation, 6 days per week. Schedules may vary due to fluctuating customer production. The Stock Clerk receives, labels, stores, issues, turns in, decants, replenishes POU, coordinates with Supply Team, receives, runs reports, and inventories hazardous material (HM) in support of WR-ALC Artisans.
SCs perform duties in accordance with the contract PWS, VTS SOPs, and applicable directives.
- Create and maintain reports necessary to ensure proper inventory maintenance (Stock Levels, SL Accuracy, etc.).
- Don PPE at all times.
- Issue and turn in Hazardous Material (HM) physically and in EESOH-MIS following proper Artisan identification and system user list.
- Execute all Issue/Turn-in transactions in a fast-paced, high-volume environment to support Artisans in a timely manner.
- Transfer, receive, label and store HM with accuracy of at least 98%.
- Monitor HM stock reports in EESOH-MIS and conduct physical inventory checks to meet production needs.
- Verify receipt of HM transferred/sold to Issue Centers from CMS 3PL Material Expeditors by signing/validating documentation.
- Act as main point of contact for coordination between Artisans at their point of issue and the CMS Supply Team to ensure orders are placed as needed.
- Place restock orders in a timely manner to maintain proper stock levels.
- Examine stock upon receipt for integrity before signing for material.
- Coordinate information/tasks with fellow SCs on previous and follow-on shifts.
- Ensure all daily, monthly, and yearly checklists are fully executed and documented for their shift.
- Store HM according to the Shelf/Bin process following regulations when storing, transferring, and receiving HM. Maintain all assigned Point of Use lockers and carts/kits.
- Initiate Shelf Life Extension updates to maximize HM shelf-life and disposition items with SL extensions or denials correctly.
- Compile reports on issues, receipts, and delinquent Artisans per deadlines.
- Decant HM from parent to child containers to meet production needs.
- Remove and process non-conforming stock from general inventory (Code J, Expired, and Questionable Integrity HM).
- Maintain industrial cleanliness of work area and HM.
- Under no circumstances shall a SC manage HAZWASTE (HW) or determine/identify proper waste stream.
- Maintain proficiency in the use of EESOH-MIS to track HM from receipt through disposition.
- Operate motor vehicles, motorized scooters, golf-carts, forklifts, bicycles, and/or burden carriers as assigned.
- Perform other Stock Clerk duties as assigned and be prepared for temporary reassignment to meet VTS/contract requirements.
- Complete required training, including: 24 hr. HAZWOPER, HAZCOM, Microsoft Office, EESOH-MIS, and other listed trainings.
- Must be a US citizen.
- Must hold a valid state driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
- Must pass a criminal and financial background check and sustain a DLA PSI clearance criteria during employment.
- Select Stock Clerks may require a SECRET level Security Clearance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; experience handling and storing HM desired.
- Ability to safely lift 60 lbs unassisted.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Neat and professional appearance in accordance with VTS policies.
