Job Title:
Senior Vice President, Operations

Reporting to: CEO

Compensation: c.$215k base + up to 25% bonus + stock options

The Opportunity

This is a senior operational leadership role within a fast-scaling energy transition infrastructure platform that has moved beyond early-stage growth and is now focused on execution excellence, profitability, and scale
.

The business has strong commercial momentum and front-end development capability. What it now needs is a senior operator to own everything from feasibility through construction, commissioning, and ongoing service
, while bringing greater commercial discipline, leadership depth, and operational structure.

This is not a site-level execution role. It is a P&L-owning, board-facing leadership position with real authority to shape teams, processes, and delivery strategy.

Role Overview

The SVP of Operations will have end-to-end responsibility for operational delivery once projects are deemed feasible, including:

  • Pre-construction and construction delivery
  • In-house electrical and self-perform capabilities
  • Project and construction management teams
  • Subcontractor strategy and supplier relationships
  • Post-installation service and long‑term asset performance

You will act as the integrator between development, sales, engineering, construction, and service, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably at scale.

Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership
  • Own full operational delivery from feasibility through commissioning and service
  • Lead construction managers, project managers, in-house electrical teams, and operational support functions
  • Set clear accountability, performance standards, and delivery metrics across Ops
Pre-Construction & Delivery
  • Oversee pre-construction planning, including design coordination, utility engagement, permitting strategy, and constructability
  • Strengthen greenfield development capability, including civil works, grading, drainage, concrete, and permitting oversight
  • Drive consistency and repeatability across delivery processes
Commercial & P&L Ownership
  • Full ownership of operational P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Improve margin discipline across self-perform and subcontracted work
  • Partner closely with Sales and Project Development to ensure commercially viable execution
Scaling the Platform
  • Build and scale teams, systems, and processes to support continued growth
  • Professionalise operational structure while maintaining speed and accountability
  • Introduce best practices from high‑performing construction or infrastructure environments
Leadership & Culture
  • Bring gravitas, clarity, and calm leadership to a high-pressure, fast-moving business
  • Lead with empathy and transparency; low ego, high standards
  • Promote a culture of urgency, ownership, and reliability
Executive & Board Engagement
  • Act as a senior voice in executive discussions and board-level communication
  • Translate operational reality into clear, commercial insight for leadership and investors
Candidate Profile
  • 10+ years senior operational leadership experience within construction, infrastructure, power, or related contracting-led environments
  • Proven experience owning and scaling a profitable operations function
  • Strong commercial acumen with hands‑on P&L responsibility
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams through growth and change
Highly Desirable
  • Exposure to greenfield site development and complex infrastructure projects
  • Experience balancing self-perform delivery with subcontractor models
  • Familiarity with utility coordination, permitting, and civil works
  • Interest or passion for renewable energy, energy transition, or electrification
