Position: Outage Coordinator 3 4P/134

The Senior Outage Coordinator is a highly skilled professional responsible for the successful execution of outage projects. With 10 to 15 years of experience, this role involves strategic planning, resource optimization, and ensuring that outages are completed on time and within budget. The Senior Outage Coordinator collaborates closely with project teams, stakeholders, and senior management to drive efficiency and project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Outage Planning:
    • Develop strategic outage schedules in collaboration with senior management and project leaders.
    • Ensure alignment with organizational goals and operational requirements.
  • Resource Allocation & Leveling:
    • Strategically allocate personnel, equipment, and materials to optimize project performance.
    • Balance resource distribution to prevent over-allocation or under utilization.
  • Critical Path Management:
    • Identify, monitor, and manage the critical path of the outage to prevent project delays.
    • Implement proactive measures to keep critical tasks on track.
  • Progress Monitoring & Change Management:
    • Continuously analyze and update outage schedules, tracking progress and addressing deviations.
    • Assess schedule changes, evaluate their impact, and communicate adjustments to project teams.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance:
    • Ensure that all outage activities adhere to industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
    • Maintain detailed documentation of outage schedules, changes, and performance reports.
  • Mentorship & Leadership:
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior outage coordinators.
    • Share best practices and support team development initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 10-15 years of experience in outage coordination and project management, with a strong track record of managing complex projects.
  • Technical & Analytical Skills:
    • Expertise in project scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex scheduling issues.
  • Communication & Leadership:
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Project Management Expertise:
    • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and industry-specific best practices.
    • Strong ability to manage multiple outage projects simultaneously, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
