Job Description
This is a senior level role that will be responsible for leading the County’s Asset Management Division of Support Services. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining best-practice asset management strategies that optimize the life-cycle performance, value, and reliability of County-owned buildings, facilities, and facility assets. This is a unique opportunity to lead critical infrastructure operations, contribute to long-term asset sustainability, and drive transformative improvements in one of the largest Counties in Georgia.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, project management, and technical expertise in Facility Engineering and Asset Management. Experience with public sector facilities, as well as a track record of successfully implementing asset management and information system improvements, will be essential for success in this role.
- Develop and lead a countywide Asset Management Program, including policies, standards, operational parameters and framework.
- Lead and supervise a team focused on Asset Management;
Asset Inventory and Condition Assessment;
Asset management Project Delivery. - Establish and maintain asset management strategies aligned with the county’s goals, standards, and long-term strategic plan.
- Lead implementation of the Asset Management program and use criticality-guided decision-making processes to drive risk-based asset management ensuring efficient and effective operations, maintenance, and replacement strategies.
- Serve as the county Facility Asset Management subject matter expert.
- Develop and implement standardized processes for Facility and Asset condition and lifecycle assessments.
- Provide guidance and resources for development, maintenance, and implementation of a centralized CMMS and other tracking and data management systems related to Asset Management.
- Establish and implement standardized internal processes required to report and track program parameters, condition assessments, replacement schedules, program investments, and asset life cycles.
- Evaluate new monitoring and reporting technologies to support reliability improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance, Planning and Quality Assurance, and Capital Construction teams to align budgets, execution schedules, maintenance strategies, and other activities with efficient facility asset and construction best practices.
- Frequent communications with Departmental and Senior County Leadership.
- Annual and quarterly briefings on program status and fiscal analysis.
- Formal presentations.
- Communications with internal teams and other departments and work groups.
Grade
The grade for this position is 205. Salary will be based on education and experience. Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management or a closely related field.
- Nine years of progressively responsible experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties.
- Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management.
- Five to ten years experience as a manager.
