Position Summary

The Store Director is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and profitability of the dealership. This role oversees all departments ensuring operational excellence, strong financial results, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer experience. The Store Director serves as the primary leader on-site, driving culture, accountability, and long-term growth.

Job Duties
  • Lead all dealership operations, ensuring alignment with company strategy, culture, and performance goals.
  • Oversee financial performance, including revenue, profitability, expense control, and budgeting.
  • Drive sales, service, performance and customer satisfaction across all departments.
  • Meets with sales managers to establish annual and monthly objectives for unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profit.
  • Ensure ongoing sales training, including weekly sales meetings. Develop, coach, and hold department leaders accountable for results and team development.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, company policies, and legal requirements.
  • Analyze performance metrics and implement strategies to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Foster a positive, high-performance culture focused on teamwork, integrity, and customer experience.
  • Represent the dealership within the community and maintain strong manufacturer relationships.
  • Partner with corporate leadership on reporting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Attends managers’ meetings.
  • Displays professional appearance.
Requirements Experience & Qualifications
  • Previous automotive dealership General Manager, Store Director, or senior leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of dealership operations, financial statements, and P&L management.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and retain high-performing leadership teams.
  • Experience driving sales growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dealership environment.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with dealership management systems and accounting software.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Able to successfully pass a background screening, drug test, and motor vehicle record (MVR) check, as applicable.
