CNC Machinist - Veteran Wanted

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure the equipment is in good working condition.
  • Load raw materials into the machine and secure them properly for the machining process.
  • Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet required quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the machining process.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize CNC programs and improve machining processes.
  • Keep accurate records of production data, including quantities produced, scrap rates, and machine maintenance logs.
Qualifications
  • Military veteran with previous experience as a CNC Machinist.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in CNC machining are preferred.
  • Proven experience operating CNC machines, including setup and programming.
  • Knowledge of CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code) and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with various types of CNC machines, such as lathes, mills, and routers.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain precision in machining operations.
  • Proficient in using measurement tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meeting production deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
