POSITION OVERVIEW: A Manufacturing Operator I (MFG OP I) is an entry-level role in Mountville Rubber. Upon mastering additional positions, you may become a MFG OP II, MFG OP III, or MFG OP IV. Each step up comes with additional pay increases.
Starting Pay: $17/hr for 1st shift (7AM-3PM), $17.50/hr for 2nd shift (3PM-11PM), $18/hr for 3rd shift (11PM-7AM).
JOB DUTIES:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent contamination.
- Ensure the oil and mixing process for the first batch is verified by production supervisor or another designated employee.
- Remove all knots from pre-weigh bags before loading them into the mixer.
- After the last batch, keep mixer door open and run mixer for an additional 10 minutes before shutting down.
- Complete the current batch before taking breaks.
- Fold rubber into boxes or onto pallets.
- Load raw materials onto a belt as instructed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to read and understand control screens.
- Competence in reading a tape measure.
- 1+ year experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Non-Climate controlled warehouse.
- Due to the production of rubber from powdered chemicals, you will get dirty working at Mountville Rubber.
- Steel-toe boots are required.
